Omega's Heavy Hitter

This Seamaster is Substantial

Make no mistake--this in not your run-of-the-mill Seamaster. It is a powerful piece with a lot of presence. And arguably, the black on black version (shown here) takes the cake.

Almost everything about it commands attention. Take, for instance, it's name: "Omega Seamaster Diver 300m Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph." That may be a mouthful, but it more than compensates in other ways.

First and foremost, this watch is substantial. It clocks in at 44mm in diameter, which is big, but certainly wearable. What really gets attention is the thickness--over 17mm. Overall, the watch weighs in at 225 grams on bracelet. Put simply, it's got a shot at the heavyweight title.

Second, and of equal importance, it is sharp--both inside and out.

The Seamaster series has always had a distinct dial design, and the 3 dimensional waves paired with dual sub-registers is sleek and symmetrical. The feast for the eyes continues when you flip the watch over, revealing a gleaming Omega movement.

Unlike its cousin, the Speedmaster, this Seamaster comes equipped with a (superior) column-wheel chronograph. This allows for better movement operation overall, and smoother start/stop action on the pushers. Smooth.

So if you're in the market for a dive watch, a chronograph, or a top-of-the-line tool watch--look no further. This Seamaster is all 3 wrapped into one complete package.
