This Omega re-edition, dubbed the "CK 859", is a stellar specimen
The only real fault of this Omega its name: "CK 859".
It's cold, clinical, and calls to mind a bland BMW or milquetoast Mercedes.
Which is a shame, because this Omega is anything but. In fact, it's the most impressive watch the brand has released in recent memory.
All the details are there: a 1930s vintage layout, a gorgeous dial (in solid silver), brilliantly blued-hands, and a killer movement.
Size-wise, you’re looking at perfection for a casual/dress watch: 39mm in diameter and not too thick. Moreover, it's a Certified Master Chronometer, complete with a Co-Axial escapement and a rhodium plated finish. Or, in more simple terms, it's a high performer that's easy on the eyes.
Perhaps most importantly, it’s not some overhyped or unobtainable watch (*ahem* Rolex).
Instead, it’s a simple yet sophisticated piece that’s ideal for enthusiasts--or anyone else, for that matter.
